GCIH crushed.

GCIH crushed.

Smashed the GCIH with 98%. I'm a certified incident handler now, as opposed to an uncertified handler 🤓

For real tho: what an excellent course. I came out with a comprehension overhaul on subjects I'd been adjacent to and dabbled in, but not actually executed personally. The instructor is fantastic as well. I'm paying for these certs out of pocket and have yet to feel any buyers remorse.

So that was a couple weeks ago now, and spring came in with a bang of green and sunshine. I could have launched into my next (and last for a minute) cert immediately, but I'm torn between GCFA and GWAPT. Also, I wanted to be outside on this first part of spring, so instead - YARDWORK.

And now this is my yoga view 🙏🏼

Speaking of yoga - and I may have mentioned this previously - I swapped the flow and intention generation genai API from OpenAI to Claude and CRIKIES is it an improvement 🔥

Not just the quality of the combined intention and prompts, instructions on poses, but I was able to reduce a 2 step pipeline to a single generation call. I was also able to remove a sanity / corrective step after generation to ensure the transitions make sense and are balanced. I am impressed. Because of this - even though the tokens are more expensive - the overall cost of running the live flow is basically the same.

I just finished a flow out under these trees and I have to say: it was flawless. I'm very proud of what I've built (which was without AI, I started this project in 2022).

I have been using Claude a lot recently though, for creating software, literally integrated into the IDE and prompting rather than writing. It's quite impressive but you cannot blindly accept - I had it try to add an analytics from mongo query and it wanted to use an untethered loop with 5 levels of nesting multiple db calls - no hashtables, no limits on the results 🤣 I was like dude, aggregation. Claude was like, fair.

This little nugget was during the creation of a ai prompt injection challenge / game I'm building, but for a brick and mortar experience. It's been fun : ) more on that later.

The other thing in progress (after I put down my root killer shovel) is the find evil hackathon being put on by my school (SANS) - more on that later as well but I made sure to have a solid base for that competition before being outdoors for a couple weeks. Tomorrow is the last "hot" day before a few days of rain so I'm going to soak it up, then decide which cert I'm taking next, likely mid June : )
